Bletchley Town Bowls Club has earned a reputation over several years for the quality of its 6 rink green.
In order to maintain this reputation it was decided at the end of its Centenary Season in 2012 that a new Mower would be needed for the 2013 season.
Over the Winter the Club managed to fund raise approx half the £5000 and successfully applied for Various grants to meet the reminder of the cost.
The Club received £500 from the Buckinghamshire Playing Fields Association and £2,500 from Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council.
The mower was purchased and duly arrived in time to start the preparations for the start of the season.
On Sunday 19th May before the start of the Home game with Woburn Sands Bowls Club, Councillor Robin Bowen-Williams handed over a ceremonial cheque and examined the new Mower.
The Club is always looking for new members, be they young or old (min age 14), experienced or novice.
